Lazy Crock Pot Lasagna



This lazy crock pot method lets you enjoy the flavors of traditional lasagna with little work. It's great for busy days when you want comfort food but don't have time to cook for hours.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can 29 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 can 6 ounces tomato paste
  • 1 can 14
  • 5 ounces diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 12 uncooked lasagna noodles
  • 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions:

Boil ground beef, onion, and garlic in a pan over medium-low heat until the meat is no longer pink

Remove from heat and drain

Put in the diced tomatoes, basil, salt, and pepper

Then add the tomato sauce and tomato paste

Put cottage cheese and Parmesan cheese in a bowl and mix them together

Put a layer of the meat mixture in the bottom of a slow cooker that has been greased

Break up the uncooked lasagna noodles to fit and add two layers on top of the first

Top with the cheese mixture and mozzarella cheese

Add more layers

Put the lid on top and cook on low heat for 4 to 6 hours, or until the noodles are soft
