This simple beef stew made in a slow cooker is a hearty and warming meal that is great for cold days. As the beef cooks slowly with onions, carrots, potatoes, and broth, it gets so tender that it melts in your mouth.
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs beef stew meat, cubed
- 4 potatoes, diced
- 4 carrots, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can 14
- 5 oz diced tomatoes
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Toss the beef cubes in flour in a bowl until they are well covered
Then add the potatoes, carrots, onion, garlic, and beef cubes that have been coated
Salt and pepper to taste
Add the diced tomatoes, beef broth, dried thyme and rosemary, and mix well
Mix the ingredients together
Put the lid on top and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or high for 4 to 5 hours, until the foods inside are soft
If you need to, add more salt and pepper to taste before serving
